Princess Alice

The Queen Victoria is the

premier bed and breakfast in Cape May

Princess Alice

House of Royals Building

The Princess Alice room at The Queen Victoria has an especially colorful past: it was once part of the gambling casino on the second floor of the House of Royals in the Victorian Era.

A stay at the Princess Alice isn’t a gamble anymore in more ways than one: today this special history is reflected in the opulence of its decorative plaster ceiling medallion and 11-foot ceilings.  Its elegant gold-accented wallpaper from Bradbury & Bradbury also glints like the gold coins which were passed along the gambling tables here—careful appointments like these ensure that your visit is a memorable one.

Today’s guest will find our accommodations to be a comfortable stay as well. The room includes a queen size bed while the mirrored armoire encloses modern conveniences of television and a mini-refrigerator.  Comfortable chairs and a telephone adjoin the unique pocket window while a sliding door gives you access to a private balcony with rocking chairs and scenic ocean views.  Your private bath at the Princess Alice has a European-style hydro-massage shower.
