Sherlock Holmes Murder Mystery Weekend
Sherlock Holmes Murder Mystery Weekend
Published on January 26, 2017
If you can’t wait to play around in Cape May in the spring, then you may want to play along with the Sherlock Holmes Weekend, March 17 – 19.
This bi-annual event takes place each March and November and only offers a limited number of tickets. In 2017, the Cape May MAC is debuting a new mystery by John K. Alvarez, “Solve the Mystery of Sherlock Holmes & The Case of the Discarded Woman.”
The event spans the whole weekend as you learn about the case from the famed detective and his assistant, Dr. John Watson, on Friday evening before retiring to your inn to mull it over. On Saturday, you’ll search Cape May’s bed and breakfasts for clues – even The Queen Victoria – and be sure to keep track of your discovered clues and answers on your tour sheet. You may purchase the search for clues tour on its own for $15 if you don’t want to participate in the other events but the murder mystery weekend is quite an engaging event that you must try at least once on a Cape May visit.
Bring your clues to the Rose Room to compare your findings with detective Holmes’ and learn why he came to solve the case. Finally, on Sunday you’ll see what Holmes and Watson found and their solution to the case after a filling lunch. If your wits are on par with Holmes’, you may leave the case with a prize or two!
The Queen Victoria is proud to be a participating inn for Cape May’s Sherlock Holmes Weekend and we invite you to book your stay with us for this exciting weekend in March!
