11th Annual “Big Cheesy” Weekend | March 8 – 9
Our Big Cheesy Weekend is fun for everyone! Each March we transform afternoon tea into an unforgettable Cheese Tasting Party. We typically offer over 15 delicious cheese and we always focus on variety to encourage a tasting adventure! Alongside our cheese, we serve outstanding bread, olives, olive oils, and roasted red peppers to boost flavor profiles.
If you’re serious about cheese, we’ll provide a scorecard to use as you taste. We encourage you to bring your favorite bottle of wine – if you’re so inclined – to enjoy with your cheese. Just be prepared to share. This event is free for all guests staying the weekend with us.
Sherlock Holmes Mystery Weekend | March 15-17, 2019
Everybody’s favorite sleuth is returning to Cape May this March to solve the latest mystery, The Wake at the Wedding. “They say the wedding day is all about the bride, but when John Watson attends the wedding of an old army compatriot, it quickly becomes all about the body in the garden.”
It sounds like Holmes, Watson and you are in for a busy few days solving this mystery! How to Play:
The Game’s Afoot: Friday 8:30 pm
Join Holmes and Watson for coffee, dessert, and a cash bar at The Rose Room. Here, the mystery unfolds and as Holmes says, “the game’s afoot.” Registration begins at 7 pm and seating begins at 8 pm.
Search for Clues Tour: Saturday 1 pm – 3 pm
Kick-off your search with a self-guided tour of Cape May’s bed and breakfast inns. On this tour, you’ll explore several B&Bs in search of clues that will help you to solve the mystery. During your investigation, chat up Sherlock, Watson and the whole cast of characters. Ask them questions to get to the answers you need.
The Game Continues: Saturday 3:30pm – 4:30pm
Meet back at The Rose Room to learn why Holmes is drawn to this case. Compare your findings. How are you faring in your search? Have you matched wits with Mr. Holmes or are you a clueless wonder?
Holmes Unlocks the Mystery: Sunday 12 pm
Meet for the final time at The Rose Room for a hearty lunch before Holmes and Watson reveal the solution. Is there a villain among us still? How well did your search go? Once the mystery is solved, the winners will be announced and prizes awarded, including the “Clueless Wonder” for the worst solution submitted.

Every April the Exit Zero Jazz Festival returns to Cape May, bringing a bevy of talented musicians from all over the Jazz spectrum, both new and famous.
