Queen Victoria Cape May Rooms For Summer 2020.
We’re prepping for another outstanding summer here at The Queen Victoria. Please take a moment to read about the steps we’re taking to keep you safe and healthy during your visit.
At our Cape May Inn, you’ll stay in one of four Victorian buildings. Each is unique and reflects different aspects of the Victorian style and architecture that bring visitors back to Cape May time and again. Here are some of our favorite Queen Victoria Cape May rooms for summer 2020.
House of Royals
Prince Leopold
Spacious and open, this third-floor Premium room is the perfect home base from where to enjoy all Cape May has to offer. Prince Leopold features a large couch, romantic antique chairs, and beautiful views of town. The room’s walls are nearly nine feet tall and decorated with Bradbury & Bradbury historic coverings. Plus, its private bathroom offers a two-person hydro massage European shower with marble seat.
Prince Alfred
Prince Alfred is a Large Standard Balcony room on the second floor of the House of Royals. It’s a corner room with both views of the Atlantic Ocean and Ocean Street. Fun fact, this room was once a gambling salon! It features charming details like a decorative chair rail, historic wall coverings, and handsome window treatments. Alfred offers a queen-size bed, private marble-floored bath, plus a private balcony with rocking chairs.
Prince Albert Hall
Mayfair
This bright and cozy Premium room with romantic canopy bed boasts a vintage Victorian sofa and marble top Eastlake dresser. The bathroom features a beautiful two-tiered marble counter with lots of space to set down your toiletries, plus an elegant large step-in shower. This room is especially sentimental to innkeepers Anna Marie and Doug, as it’s the first room they stayed in before they bought the inn.
Hampton Court
Hampton Court is an elegant and luxurious room filled with incredible Victorian furniture and decorated with hand-silkscreened wallpaper. It features a private entrance, cozy fireplace, and comfortable loveseat perfect for reading. The en suite bathroom offers an elegant bathtub/shower and lovely pedestal sink.
Queen Victoria Building
Buckingham
Buckingham is a wonderfully cozy Large Standard room complete with period antiques like a beautiful marble top dresser and magnificent embroidered high-backed Victorian chairs. The large bathroom features a two-person, two-head, shower and vintage marble sink. Perhaps the most notable thing about Buckingham is its windows which offer views of both the Atlantic Ocean and Cape May’s historic Victorian architecture.
Benjamin Disraeli
Boasting three southern-facing windows, Benjamin Disraeli is one of our brightest Standard rooms at the Queen Victoria. It’s appointed with a plush queen-size bed and period antiques such as a Victorian headboard and dresser. The room features a large private bathroom with a bathtub/shower, plus large marble sink and vanity with plenty of set-down space.
Queens Cottage
Brighton
Brighton, one of our newest Standard rooms, is named after the fabulously decorated seaside palace in Brighton, England. It shares a private entrance with one other room and features a Victorian marble top dresser with mirror, comfortable seating area with a large double window dressed in custom linens, and a spacious private bath with large walk-in shower.
TIP: traveling with friends or family? We recommend reserving both Brighton and Whitehall suites. This will give your group the entire second floor of Queen’s Cottage. Guests of Brighton and Whitehall also enjoy semi-private use of a shared sun-drenched parlor, kitchen, and pantry.
Whitehall
Whitehall draws its name from the sprawling palace that sat along the Thames River in London. It’s a newer Premium room on the 2nd floor of Queens Cottage and shares a private entrance with Brighton. It boasts a queen-size bed with a dramatic custom canopy and matching drapes, a beautiful Victorian marble top dresser with mirror, a comfortable seating area with two sunny windows, and a spacious private bath with a large walk-in shower.
Enjoy any of these Cape May rooms for summer 2020 and more at The Queen Victoria. As always, there’s plenty to do this season. We’re committed to offering guests the best possible stay complete with breakfast, perks like bicycles and beach chairs, plus superior service. We’re so excited to welcome you back.
