More Fun and Festive Spring 2019 Events In Cape May.
Yes, it’s officially spring in Cape May, and not a moment too soon! As you know, there are many excellent reasons to visit Cape May and The Queen Victoria in the winter, but there’s no denying a visit to our lovely town in the spring is a little more compelling as the weather grows warmer and days longer. Better yet, the list of reasons for visiting this season is long and getting longer. Here are some highlights.
April Birthday Celebration | April 27 |The Queen Victoria
So far, we’ve celebrated three months of birthdays and each party was a HUGE success. We’re always thrilled when our guests choose to celebrate with us! So, join us this month for one last batch of birthday celebrations on April 27. As always, we’ll turn afternoon tea into a birthday bash with balloons, cake, party favors and – of course – a rendition of Happy Birthday. If April isn’t your birthday month, come anyway! Join in the fun of making our birthday celebrants of the month feel special. So, if you’ve got a birthday coming up an can’t figure out the perfect gift – book a reservation with us and celebrate in style!
Chocolate Lover’s Weekend | May 10 – 11 | The Queen Victoria
It’s hard to believe our first Chocolate Lover’s Weekend was over a year ago, but it was and boy was it fantastic. Please join us for our third go-round at the event where we’ll continue to have fun perfecting things like melting caramel sea salt chips. We did come up with a great solution for this, by the way, and it was delicious.
This event happens to coincide with Mother’s Day weekend and it’s the perfect way to celebrate. If you missed that event last year, or attended, and can’t wait to do so again, now is the time to start planning your May visit to The Queen Victoria.
We plan to serve lots of specialty chocolates, chocolate baked goods, and goodies that are fun to drizzle with chocolate. We typically offer six pots of melted chocolates including Dark Chocolate, Mint Dark Chocolate, Raspberry Dark Chocolate, Orange Dark Chocolate, Cherry Dark Chocolate, and Sea Salt Caramel Dark Chocolate. Best of all? This event is FREE for all reserved guests!
Cape May Music Festival | May 26 – June 14 | Mid Atlantic Center for the Arts and Humanities
Join the Mid Atlantic Center for the Arts and Humanities in celebrating 30 years of beautiful music in Cape May. This year The Cape May music festival presents classical, chamber, jazz and more! From the Atlantic City Brass Band to the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra Chamber Players, there is sure to be a show that will please everyone!
Unlike most music festivals, which pack a bunch of performances into a frenzied weekend, the Cape May Music Festival takes a more measured approach, presenting a few shows a week for several weeks. Most concerts will be held on Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday with a total of 14 throughout the course of the festival.
And, as always, Anna Marie and I are pleased to present all guests staying at least two nights at The Queen Victoria, who wish to attend, with complimentary tickets to most concerts, with a few exceptions (Bach’s Lunches, Champagne Jazz Brunch, Paula Johns at Willow Creek, and Musical Desserts concerts).
Cape May Restaurant Week | June 2 – 9 | Cape May
Restaurant week is just around the corner and it’s never too early to plan your trip for this special event. Each June the folks at CapeMay.com organize this fabulous dining experience that includes meals at the finest restaurants in Cape May. Each will offer a 3-course pre-fixe menu for just $35. Restaurant week is a wonderful opportunity to sample the finest food in Cape May. Participating restaurants have not yet been announced, but we’re confident all the favorites will make this list!
We’re so excited to welcome you to The Queen Victoria this spring. As always, we look forward to making your stay a special memorable experience. Please join us for any – or all – of these fantastic events!
