Yoga in Cape May is big, especially in the spring and summer. There’s no shortage of yoga studios and when the weather is warm some of them, like Balance Yoga, offer classes outside – typically, from June to September. Can’t wait that long to get your vinyasa on?
Balance Yoga also offers a variety of yoga and Pilates classes at their studio. Try:
Gentle Yoga – If you think you can’t do yoga, this class is for you. Gentle Yoga is for beginners looking to start a practice and for those who appreciate moving slowly and consciously through postures and breathing techniques. Hands-on assistance and use of props included!
Vinyasa Yoga – This class flows from pose to pose by integrating breath and movement. It leads students deep into a moving meditation practice and different options are offered to accommodate varying levels and abilities. This is a physically challenging class and best for those with some prior yoga experience.
Restorative Yoga – This class is a blend of restorative postures supported with blankets, bolsters, and blocks. It includes long-held Yin poses, breathing techniques and guided meditation. This is a passive practice to balance your Yang, active practice. Restorative Yoga is perfect for getting restored, renewed and refreshed.
Follow Balance’s Facebook page for up-to-date information on classes and events.
Other yoga options for the spring and summer include:

She is very active in the community and is even hosting a local yoga retreat May 4 – 6, 2018. For her outdoor classes, drop-in fees range from $5 – $10 and it’s recommended to bring a blanket or towel.
