One of the things that makes Cape May truly unique and special among all seaside resorts in America (maybe the world) is
the number of fun and exciting events and festivals that abound throughout the year.
This is especially true in the Spring, when Cape May’s biggest and longest running festivals give visitors an incredible
variety of reasons and dates to plan a visit to America’s first seaside resort, even if it isn’t quite beach weather. If you haven’t experienced the Spring Celebration or the Cape May Music Festival before, then you’ve been missing out!

Room of The Month
Introducing … The Crown Prince
|
|
|
It isn’t often that I’m able to introduce a new guest room to you in our newsletter. Amazingly, this is the first of two
new guest rooms that I’ll be sharing with you this year.
The Crown Prince is an exciting new concept for us at The Queen Victoria. This luxurious, beautiful, and very spacious suite
is a 2-room, 2-bath suite featuring an incredible level of comfort and amenities that we’re sure you’ll love.
The wonderful new king sized bed in the bedroom (pictured right) is one of only seven in the entire inn. The bedroom is
very bright and cheery with a beautiful hardwood floor and elegant, stylish wall coverings. Two of the three windows in the bedroom have a view of the ocean, including one from the master bathroom (pictured below).

The sitting room features a beautiful custom wine/wet bar with granite counter top and a dramatic tin ceiling back splash.
Though you can’t see them clearly in this photo, underneath the counter you’ll find both a refrigerator and a wine cooler. The Keurig is another special touch for this special room. Other special features in the sitting room are the luxurious, comfortable
pull-out (queen) sofa, a wonderful electric fireplace and the 48″ flat panel television.
Finally, of course, is the second bathroom, which I’m thinking of as the “his” bathroom. That would make the master bathroom
the “hers” bathroom, which will certainly make any woman feel like a queen during her time at The Queen Victoria.

If you like “drama” in room decor, then you’re going to love the Crown Prince.
It is pretty safe to say that the rich decor you’ll find throughout the entire suite will enchant you. The elegant look
of both bathrooms (the master bath pictured here, as well as the similarly decorated one in the sitting room) is unmatched anywhere else in The Queen Victoria, and probably in Cape May. If this doesn’t make you feel like Royalty, I’m not sure what would.
We are just waiting on a few pieces of furniture to open this spectacular suite, which are scheduled to arrive this week!
That means that the Crown Prince will be available for you to enjoy starting as early as this weekend. I wonder who the first guest to enjoy this experience will be!
By the way, the photos included here are NOT professional. I took them with my iPhone, so they truly don’t do the room justice.

NEW EVENT … The
Queen Victoria Chocolate Lover’s Weekend
May 12, 2018 (Mother’s Day Weekend)
|
|
|
Anna Marie and I are always searching for fun new themes for getaway weekends to The Queen Victoria in our “shoulder seasons”.
I’m truly mystified that it took us so long to stumble upon a Chocolate Weekend. Seriously, what could possibly be more popular than a chocolate weekend?
We thought that Mother’s Day weekend would be a fun time to introduce this event, which we’ll also be featuring again in
November and next January.
|
|
|
|
Like many of our food oriented events, our chocolate tasting party will be held during our normal Afternoon Tea time. We’ll
be turning the dining room table of The Queen Victoria into a giant chocolate buffet, filled with chocolate specialty treats and sweets from our own cookbook, as well as fun, goodies to dip into the simmering chocolates that will be ladled out of the crocks
we’ll be setting on the buffet side board.
We’ve even found a fun premium Harney’s Chocolate Mint Tea to serve that afternoon!
Free!(for
all registered guests that weekend)
