I’ve always loved this photo, as it represents everything that summer in Cape May feels like to me. The beautiful sunny
mornings, with brilliant light shining brightly on The Queen Victoria, the flags hanging listlessly, brilliant green plants everywhere you look, these are all the things that make me smile thinking about summer.
We’ve obviously been taking lots of reservations for the summer months, but you may be surprised to discover that we still
have plenty of availability left, just waiting for you to make a reservation.
Wouldn’t you love to walk out the door in the morning and experience this bright, cheery scene? The good news is that you
have it within your control. Visit us online or give us a call, and make your summer reservation at The Queen Victoria. Trust me, summer doesn’t get any better than this.

Room of The Month
Prince Alfred
|
|
|
Prince Alfred has always been one of my favorite rooms. In the warmer months, when guests are likely to want to spend lots
of time outside, it is probably our most popular room. The reason for that is the very large wrap around porch that is accessible through the “Pocket Window” pictured on the far wall (yes, it looks like a door, but it opens like a window). As you can see,
Prince Alfred is elegantly decorated with classic wall coverings and beautiful, rich antique furniture. The high ceiling and the bright ambiance give it a special cheerfulness.
Prince Alfred has a queen sized bed (the antique headboard, which is deceptive … queen beds didn’t exist in the Victorian
era). The bathroom is as elegant as the guest room, and features a large marble vanity, marble floors, a massive mirror and a step in shower.
I’m pretty sure you’ll love the Prince Alfred room. If you want to give it a try, I suggest planning ahead. It is a very
popular room.

Cape May Music Festival
May 27th through June 15th
This year MAC is celebrating 29 years of bringing beautiful music to Cape May. What started out as a Classical music festival
all those years ago has turned into a series of classic performances of diverse musical traditions. As you can see from the dates indicated for the festival, the Cape May Music Festival is not a rushed, all in a single weekend affair. Rather, it is a presentation
of several concerts a week, all through the week(s), in venues all over town.
