Spring into fun with Cape May’s Spring Festival
Spring Activities in Cape May
Published on March 25, 2016
Warmer weather and longer days are here with the official start of spring, but it doesn’t fully seem real around here until the Cape May Spring Festival kicks off!
Our friends at the Cape May MAC are experts when it comes to organizing entertaining, and often educational, events and activities during this annual celebration of spring. From sampling delicious East Coast beverages to enjoying Cape May’s signature attractions, there’s absolutely no shortage of things to keep you busy the first week of May in Cape May.
If you’ve got food and fun on the brain, the festival includes traditional favorites like the Chocolate Lover’s Feast, Cape May Wine Trail, Private Homes Tour, and the Historic Haunts Combo Tour.
If you want a mix of fun and cultural events to learn more about our Victorian heritage, you’ll want to save some time for the Cape May After Dark Trolley Tour or if you’re so inclined, the Cape Mayhem Trolley Tour if you want to learn of some of the odd fads or traditions of our favorite era. The Dr. Physick’s Neighborhood Walking Tour is always a favorite to see what life was like or the Show Us Your Undies, a period fashion show paired with brunch, is a popular event to see the fashions of the time.
The festival ends with a bang on Mother’s Day with fun events including the Mother’s Day Brunch & Fashion Show at Aleathea’s Restaurant at 9:30 a.m. or the Jazz Brunch at the Estate for Mother’s Day at 10:30 a.m. Surprise mom with Cape May’s amazing food and an event that’s as classy as she is. Advanced reservations are recommended for both events.
Come celebrate spring in your favorite destination and in your favorite guest room at The Queen Victoria. Anna Marie and I look forward to welcoming you and the wonderful season!
If you love the celebrations of the Spring Festival as much as Anna Marie and I do, then you’ll also want to save the dates for 2017’s event: April 28 – May 7!
